Cacao Nib Porridge Topping
A healthy way to start the day with Nacao Nib Topped Porridge.
- 1 Cup Cold Water
- 1 Table Spoon Cacao Nibs
- ½ a lemon
- ½ Cup of rolled oats
- Pinch of Salt
- Milk to taste
Place ½ cup rolled oats in a pot with a pinch of salt.
Add the cold water covering the rolled oats and bring to gentle boil. Stir constantly while the porridge comes to a boil to avoid any of the mixture sticking to the bottom of the pan.
When you reached the consistency you desire (I go for a pretty gelatinous sludge) Pour into a bowl.
Take your lemon and slice finely, then place over the porridge. This gives the porridge a bit of zip!
Take your Cacao Nibs and sprinkle over the porridge, I have said 1 TBSP but in reality you will not be penalized for adding more if you so choose.
Add milk at your discretion and enjoy!
